Leading Domain Name Registrar eNom Passes Milestone Five Million Names

eNom, Inc. (www.enom.com), one of the world’s largest Internet domain name registrars, announced that it has passed the milestone of five million domain names under management.

During 2005, eNom also moved up to the ranking of world’s third largest registrar of domain names. The nine-year-old, privately held company continues growing at a remarkable pace, reflected by 2005 growth of:

* Domain name registrations up 29%
* Revenues (GAAP) up 43%
* Staff up 34%.

“For a mature, accomplished company to be showing such strong growth is a tribute to strategic direction and excellent implementation of technology in an ever-changing field,” explains Paul Stahura, eNom founder, president and chief executive officer. “Our emphasis on empowering volume-oriented, independent resellers around the globe is what most distinguishes eNom.”

The company introduced an unprecedented number of new offerings last year, including five new country-code top level domains (ccTLDs), SSL certificates from Secure Business Services and a multilingual version of PDQ, its popular domain name reselling kit. The Spanish beta version has been introduced, with additional languages to come this year.

The company’s base of nearly 14,000 active resellers (such as web hosting companies) depends on “powered by eNom” tools that privately brand domain management and other web services.

In addition, eNom hosts the largest domain aftermarket drop-catching tool, called Club Drop, and provides value-added services, such as web site hosting, ID protection services, POP email and a web-site-creator tool.
